Companies Act 2014 – The Role of the Company Secretary

Under the Companies Act 2014 (the ‘Act’) the position of the Company Secretary has been retained. The Act requires Directors of a company to make sure that the person appointed as the Company Secretary has the necessary skills and resources (e.g. access to a specialist service provider) to discharge their statutory, legal and other duties as may be delegated by the Directors.
