Companies Act 2014 – Consequences of not converting

The start of a New Year always triggers ‘To-Do Lists’, however, for Company owners in 2016 it is important this year’s list includes action in advance of the expiry of the Transition Periods under the Companies Act 2014:

  • 31 August 2016 to re-register as a Designated Activity Company (DAC)
  • 30 November to convert to a Company Limited by Shares (LTD)

A key question company owners/directors may have is – ‘What if I do nothing?’. Here at FCS Services we have produced  a 1 page summary of the key consequences of not converting to give some guidance when considering this question.
