Annual Return Mandatory Electronic Filing

As we approach one of the statutory filing busiest periods, companies with a 30 September Annual Return Date (“ARD”) are reminded that the Companies Registration Office (“CRO”) introduced mandatory electronic filing for the submission of all Annual Returns and Financial Statements with effect from 1 June 2017. As over 50,000 companies have a 30 September ARD it is recommended that companies familiarise themselves with CORE, or make arrangements with a service provider, as early as possible to ensure they do not miss their filing deadline.

In addition, the filing fee for Annual Returns can now only be made on-line (either by credit card or via a CRO customer account). Late filing of Annual Returns (which include submission of signed documents and payment of fees) will result in late filing penalties and, where applicable, the loss of filing exemptions for the current and following year.

If you have any further queries or would like assistance with e-filing the above forms or any other CRO forms please call Anna or Joanna on 0353 (0) 91 704818
